Emeralds have long been believed to confer riches, power and eloquence if worn as talismans. They were thought to strengthen ones memory and help aid in longevity, even providing immortality!
Diamonds are associated with purity, perfection and spiritual power. They have been worn for centuries to symbolize commitment and faithfulness, and the ancients felt that wearing them would bring treasures, riches and intellectual knowledge.
The era we now know as “Art Deco” received its moniker from the Exposition International des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes, held in Paris in 1925, which was largely dedicated to the jewelry arts. Emphasis was placed on the association of art and modern industry.
Crafted in 18 karat white gold, this wonderful navette ring features five square cut emeralds surrounded by glittering diamonds that extend to the shoulders. A fabulous, glamorous beauty that exemplifies pre-war fashions perfectly!
