Cocktail rings became popular during the Prohibition Era, in the 1920s. Worn as a luxurious rebellion, women would deck themselves out, showing off large sparkling gems while they sipped their drinks at the speakeasy and parties where Prohibition was ignored. The showy gems ebbed in popularity during World War II, but came back with a bang around the middle of the 20th century, when cocktail parties took off once again, and the "Statement Ring", or "Cocktail Ring" has been going strong ever since!
Crafted in 18 karat yellow gold, this magnificent concoction has a fiery opal at the center. Radiating outward are two halos of bright pink rubies. A dazzler you'll want to wear to all your fun events!
Cape Cod Cocktail:
Pour 1.5 ounces Vodka over a highball glass of ice. Add 4 ounces Cranberry juice. Stir, garnish with lime wedge. Cheers!
