Cocktail rings became popular during the Prohibition Era, in the 1920s. Worn as a luxurious rebellion, women would deck themselves out, showing off large sparkling gems while they sipped their drinks at the speakeasy and parties where Prohibition was ignored. The showy gems ebbed in popularity during World War II, but came back with a bang around the middle of the 20th century, when cocktail parties took off once again, and the "Statement Ring", or "Cocktail Ring" has been going strong ever since!
20 round brilliant cut diamonds frame a navette cut bright, creamy aqua turquoise stone. The shank is fashioned in 14 karat gold: white on the shank and basket and yellow on the boule prong settings. A beautiful way to get everyone's attention!
