SOLD Vintage 14K, Diamond & Tanzanite Ring

Tanzanite is a rare stone thought to give calming vibrations and healing power to those who wear it. The beautiful gems range from blue to violet in color. 

The name "tanzanite" was given because the world's only known tanzanite deposit of commercial importance is in northern Tanzania. The name reflects the gem’s limited geographic origin. The mines are all located in an area of about eight square miles in the Merelani Hills, near the base of Mount Kilimanjaro.

This intriguing ring has a late Art Deco setting in 14 karat yellow and white gold, accented with six sparkling diamonds. The original center stone was missing, and we have had it replaced with a gorgeous blue-violet tanzanite stone. The bright blue gem winking from the ocular design makes us think of Elizabeth Taylor, and her famous 'violet eyes'! A real beauty, ready to make her comeback on your hand!
