Cocktail rings became popular during the Prohibition Era, in the 1920s. Worn as a luxurious rebellion, women would deck themselves out, showing off large sparkling gems while they sipped their drinks at the speakeasy and parties where Prohibition was ignored. The showy gems ebbed in popularity during World War II, but came back with a bang around the middle of the 20th century, when cocktail parties took off once again, and the "Statement Ring", or "Cocktail Ring" has been going strong ever since!
A domed ring top is punctuated with a large sparkling central diamond adorned with ribbons of calibre' cut rubies and emeralds. Festive and bright, it's like wearing a tinsel wreath with holiday ribbon candy on your hand! Sure to bring joy and glamour, whatever season you wear it!
