Founded in 1759 by Josiah Wedgwood, the Wedgwood pottery company is still producing many of their original designs today. The familiar Jasper Ware, a white relief on a blue background is immediately recognizable and has often been referred to as "Wedgwood Blue".
This wonderful, eye-catching ring was produced in 1869, according to the letter date on the reverse of the porcelain ring top. A Greek or Roman figure with a lyre is depicted on the ring top, mimicking a cameo. Crafted in 14 karat yellow gold, it has a halo embellished with blue enamel. A must-have for any jewelry collector who desires all the classics!
