Antique Georgian 18K, Garnet Seed Pearl & Enamel Ring

Garnets are associated with love, life blood, and the human heart. Seed pearls have symbolized purity as well as 'tears of sorrow'. The combination of the two were commonly used in the creation of mourning jewelry during the Georgian era.
A big, beautiful cabochon garnet takes center stage in this Georgian mourning ring. Haloed with natural seed pearls and accented with black enamel, it is in wonderful condition for its age! The smooth 18 karat yellow gold closed back shank has a very comfortable fit, but that doesn't mean you'll forget you have it on your hand. We predict you'll be gazing at it a lot!
