This beguiling antique ring is crafted in 18 karat yellow gold, with a wide cigar band shank boasting French hallmarks. The singular citrine stone has been backed with pink foil, giving the look of a peachy aura emitting from within the stone. Foiling gems was a common practice of the time, as the foil reflected light and added more glimmer and shimmer to the faceted gems, especially in candle light. The wonderful thing about this example is that the pink foil hasn't faded over time, and the effect is blushingly stunning!
