In the Victorian language of flowers, the name Pansy derived from the French word "penser" for " to think." It could represent two different things, one being the idea that one would think of and consider the memory of a loved one who departed. Another was to think often of a dear friend, relative or romantic interest. Jewels, fans, bookmarks and needlework pieces were embellished with the motif and they became popular tokens of affection.
Far beyond the realm of a sentimental trinket, this fantastic pansy pendant was clearly given by a devoted suitor! Crafted in 15 karat yellow gold, encrusted with 43 foiled rose cut diamonds and one magnificent creamy pearl, it would make anyone's heart flutter just a little bit faster! A Y-shaped chain serves as the pendant fitting, perfect to loop a chain or ribbon through. Opulent, charming and oh-so-romantic, it will prove unforgettable every time you wear it!
