The era we now know as “Art Deco” received its moniker from the Exposition International des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes, held in Paris in 1925, which was largely dedicated to the jewelry arts. Emphasis was placed on the association of art and modern industry. The style was also utilized in architecture, where rectangular blocky forms were often arranged in a geometric fashion, then broken up by curved ornamental elements. But always the aim was a monolithic appearance with applied decorative motifs. It was especially successful in apartment buildings and skyscrapers.
Beautifully crafted in 18 karat white gold, this stunning Art Deco ring is full of all the well-loved embellishments sought after in a piece from the era! Adorned with glittering diamonds and juicy pink inset rubies forming a square on the face, she also features a lovely sparkler right in the center of her kisser! For all collectors who appreciate this enduring aesthetic, you can't go wrong with this very wearable bit of bling!
