The era we now know as “Art Deco” received its moniker from the Exposition International des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes, held in Paris in 1925, which was largely dedicated to the jewelry arts. Emphasis was placed on the association of art and modern industry. The style was also utilized in architecture, where rectangular blocky forms were often arranged in a geometric fashion, then broken up by curved ornamental elements. But always the aim was a monolithic appearance with applied decorative motifs. It was especially successful in apartment buildings and skyscrapers.

Beautifully crafted in white gold, this stunning Art Deco ring has a double pentagon face, with two glittering rose cut diamonds at the center of each one. In classic Deco style, the shoulders and halos have open-work lattice structures. The perfect example of an enduring era!
