The era we now know as “Art Deco” received its moniker from the Exposition International des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes, held in Paris in 1925, which was largely dedicated to the jewelry arts. Emphasis was placed on the association of art and modern industry. The style was also utilized in architecture, where rectangular blocky forms were often arranged in a geometric fashion, then broken up by curved ornamental elements. But always the aim was a monolithic appearance with applied decorative motifs. It was especially successful in apartment buildings and skyscrapers.

Converted from two stickpins, this wonderful ring truly sparkles, glistens and glimmers! A horseshoe embellished with diamonds and sapphires surrounds a round element of fan shaped leaves with a gorgeous diamond in the center and a smaller one at the base. All in white gold, with the shank in 14 karat and the original elements in 10 karat, you'll tell yourself how lucky you are every time you wear it!
