Antique 14K, Amethyst & Seed Pearl Ring
Couldn't load pickup availability
Amethyst stones have been thought for generations to provide protection and were worn by the Ancients as a talisman for luck. The beautiful violet purple hue has also had an allure not to be resisted. Beloved by Victorians as well, it was the first color a widow was allowed to wear after coming out of mourning. Seed pearls were often incorporated into mourning and half-mourning jewelry, as they represented 'tears of sorrow'.
Crafted in 14 karat yellow gold, this lovely amethyst ring has a faceted amethyst at the center and is haloed by two rows of seed pearls. It was possibly converted from a pin into a ring at some point during the last century. A striking ring to wear to any occasion, you'll love to have this one in your collection!
