During the Georgian era, lace pins were used to secure a fichu, a triangular scarf worn around the neck and shoulders. They were usually made of linen, silk and lace, so required a small and delicate way to secure them. This lace pin conversion ring has a top crafted in 10 karat yellow gold, with a rectangular central garnet, haloed in natural seed pearls and more garnets, creating a floral motif of the gems. We have paired it with an antique replica shank in 14 karat yellow gold, making it a wonderful new iteration of a useful little trinket!
