Antique 14K, 10K & Garnet Conversion Ring

During the Georgian era, lace pins were used to secure a fichu, a triangular scarf worn around the neck and shoulders. They were usually made of linen, silk and lace, so a lightweight fastener was necessary. This lace pin conversion ring has a top crafted in 10 karat yellow gold, with a central garnet cabochon rectangle haloed by ten flat cut, closed and foiled back garnets. A simple shank in 14 karat yellow gold makes it a wonderful new iteration of a useful little trinket!
