Amethysts are one of jewelry history's most enduring stones. In ancient times, it was believed to serve as a talisman for warding against becoming intoxicated. The eye-catching color has also been associated with wealth and status, with the Church using it in many of the enormous gold rings worn by Popes and Bishops. By the Victorian Era, it was associated with spiritual goodness and virtuous behavior, and was seen in both fine and semi-fine jewelry.
This pale lavender faceted amethyst has been utilized as a dangler on the 10 karat gold bar pin. Almost like a military medal, it would be wonderful worn on the lapel, for anyone- men, women, trans & non binary! Easy to transition from day to night, it's the all-around perfect 'Spokes-Jewel' for our motto: "Bring Back The Brooch"!
