Crescent brooches were often given to new brides on the advent of their honeymoons. The craze of celestial jewelry was also at its height when this extraordinary little pin was crafted. Made of solid 15 karat yellow gold, it is a fine example of the Etruscan Revival style. The Castellani brothers were pioneers in sourcing the techniques to replicate the look of ancient jewelry found in Rome and other archeological digs in Italy. From tip to tip, this sweet crescent has been adorned with expert goldwork, all made in richly hued gold, and fit for a king!
