During the Victorian Era, bracelets were an important accessory. By the 1860s, they were indispensable. In England, they were the main feature in the daytime dress code. Some women would wear seven or eight of differing designs from the wrist to the elbow on both arms! Diamonds, emeralds and rubies were usually reserved for evening wear, when the most sparkly and ornate bracelets were brought out for display.

This fabulous floral themed bangle bracelet is crafted in gold gilt over silver, with rubies, emeralds and seed pearls set in each open work flower. An easy to operate clasp makes taking her on and off a breeze, and a guard chain provides security. A magical, festive piece evocative of Indian designs, which were copied by the Victorian jewelers, you'll want to wear her to all the parties and fetes!

Circa 1860s
