Giardinetti, or ornamental floral jewelry was popular during the Georgian Era. Flower motifs were incorporated into brooches, rings and pendants using skilled metal work and precious gems as well as paste. The pieces were given as love tokens to sweethearts and friends.
This rare find is a wonderful example of the genre. A diamond filled lyre with blossoms on the top has been made into a little romantic musical token. The glimmering diamonds are set in silver, while the back of the lyre is in 9 karat yellow gold. Sure to inspire the most artfully romantic notions, she is a must-have for your collection!
