SOLD Antique French 18K & Perpignan Garnet Ring
Couldn't load pickup availability
Perpignan garnets were found in the Alpine region of Perpignan, at the border of France and Spain. Only mined between the 17th and 20th centuries, they are less common than other varieties. Sought after for their strawberry pink hue, they remain coveted by garnet lovers throughout the world.
This gorgeous, glowing ring features a large emerald cut Perpignan garnet at its center. The custom of foiling a gem allowed the reflection of the foil to shine through the stone, making it seem to be lit from within. Framed in twelve round cuts, it makes a very pretty package! The 18 karat rose gold shank is the perfect complement to this very special gem. A must-have piece for anyone who loves to accessorize with a little rosy-hued drama!
