Antique French 18K, Mother Of Pearl Hand Painted Enamel Brooch

Crafted in 18 karat yellow gold, this is what is called a  Grisaille brooch. This refers to any European painting that is executed in grey, or half-tone monochromatic hues. It features hand painted enamel with the illustration of a romantic pastoral scene.  Backed in mother of pearl and haloed with a Greek key motif on the frame, it also has a hook on the reverse, perfect for hanging your favorite drop or dangler.
