Antique English 9K, Diamond & Garnet Bangle Bracelet

Victorians were enamored with all things celestial, incorporating star and moon motifs into jewelry frequently. Even the gem settings received the starry treatment, a flush mount with a little starburst etching as decoration also referred to as a Gypsy setting. The motif remained a strong trend throughout the era and into the Edwardian.
This wonderful bangle bracelet is beautifully crafted in the Etruscan Revival style, with the artisan really showing off their skills! All the bells and whistles are displayed here: twists, filigrees, boules, granulation, and some gorgeous spheres, perhaps emulating the planets. Star set garnets and rose cut diamonds decorate the face, and an easy to fasten catch with a safety chain make sure it will stay right where it belongs: on your elegant wrist!
