Antique English 9k, Citrine, Seed Pearl & Enamel Shield Ring

This wonderful Victorian ring has a golden citrine stone, backed with foil. Tiny seed pearls surround the perimeter of the shield shaped ring top. The shoulders are decorated with scrolls and black enamel, indicating that this was a mourning ring, or a half-mourning ring. A perfect treasure for all historic jewelry lovers, it is hallmarked with the Chester Shield, and is in very good condition for a piece worn so obviously with love.
