Antique 18K, Topaz & Spinel Slide Necklace

Elegant and artistic, this style of necklace is also referred to as a lariat. The pendant can slide up or down on the rope chain to suit the wearer. Crafted in rich 18 karat yellow gold, it has a stylized Rococo pendant with a large spinel in the center. Two caps on the chain ends are topaz set in whimsical frames that remind us of little insects or leaves. On the reverse, a small locket holds woven hairwork under glass, a tiny portal reminding us of the original owner.
