Antique 18K, Silver, Diamond & Sapphire Flower Vase Giardinetti Brooch

Giardinetti, or ornamental floral jewelry was popular during the Georgian Era. Flower motifs were incorporated into brooches, rings and pendants using skilled metal work and precious gems as well as paste. The pieces were given as love tokens to sweethearts and friends. The use of floral motifs in jewelry never lost its popularity, and has continued throughout the twentieth and twenty-first centuries.

Crafted in 18 karat yellow gold and silver, this marvelous giardinetti brooch is covered in sparkling diamonds, both single cut and old euro, 43 in total and estimated at 1.70cts. Five sapphires accent the blossoms, estimated at .25ctw.
