Antique 14K, Diamond & Enamel Pansy Necklace

In the Victorian language of flowers, the  name Pansy derived from the French word "penser" for " to think."   It could represent two different things, one being the idea that one would think of and consider the memory of a loved one who departed. Another was to think often of a dear friend, relative or romantic interest. Jewels, fans, bookmarks and needlework pieces were embellished with the motif and they became popular tokens of affection.

This wonderful pansy necklace is crafted in 14 karat yellow gold with three pastel enameled pansy blossoms stationed on the chain.
