Victorians adored turquoise, and loved to implement the stone in jewelry; it became a symbol of good luck, and was often gifted to represent fondness and love.  Traditionally many cultures associate turquoise with warding off of the "evil eye!"

The Forget-Me-Not motif was also highly popular during the era and was included on jewels and trinkets given as tokens of affection as well as on mourning jewelry.

A darling little forget-me-not bloom graces the top of this English ring from the Victorian era. Fashioned of 12 karat yellow gold, with an engraved shank, the stones are bezel set in the traditional pave' style. A wonderful eye-catching piece, she is fully hallmarked for the year 1900. Perfect for anyone who treasures the sentimental jewels popular during the infamous period of history!
