SOLD Antique 10K Gold Book Chain

 A book chain is a style consisting of interlocking links of flat folded metal resembling the binding of a book. An alternative name for this type of link is Venetian chain. This design emerged during the Victorian era and was popular through the Edwardian period. 

This wonderful example has large flat round links joined by cylindrical links detailed with golden twists running through channels on each one. The 10 karat yellow gold has aged to a rich, burnished patina, adding to the drama and allure of this very special Edwardian era chain.
